Looks like my M has a different chipset for the Ethernet Controller. I would love to use my fingerprint reader: If that system came pre-installed with Vista, then those drivers are compatible with that OS.

Well I finally got my fingerprint scanner to let me log into windows with it by running the “security configuration wizard” in Dell Control point.

I will do the same. It’s like if you want modify your video brosdcom to control your printer ;- Broadcom coprocessor and our fingerprint sensor are completely different devices, each of them requires a different driver.

I used to logon windows and logon sites using password banks feature. I would not recommend using this, in fear of damaging the sensor.
Another answer from UPEK: In my opinion this would improve the usability of the fingerprint reader significantly.
